Placing a Knife on Consignment
To place a knife on consignment please e-mail me at dan@plazacutlery.com with all the information I have requested below. If you have pictures please insert them in the email do not attach them as I will not open it. Also include the price you want to sell the knife for, but also realize we will deduct 25% commission and that is what we will pay you if we find a buyer. I will email you back where to send the knives if I am interested in them. If they are knives I do not feel I have buyers for I will also let you know.
What you will receive is 30 days posted on our website at the full price. Full color pictures front, back and any others that are need as I do for Plaza Cutlery. In some cases I will post them on the USN forum if it is tactical. After the 30 days customers may make offers if the knife has not sold. At the end of the 60 days we will decide if we will keep it posted. You pay the shipping back to you if it does not sell.
The information I need on one sheet of paper per knife:
Name of maker
Approximant date when it was made
Name or style of the knife with a full description
Blade steel, handle material and any other material used in the knife.
Name of engraver, scrimshawed ect of anyone who did any work on the knife
How many owners of the knife
Any problems with the knife
Any sheath or case that goes with the knife.
Any other information that should go with the knife
The price we will ask for it and you know that we will deduct 25% commission off that price.
Your name, address, phone number (s) and email address
Please pack the knives securely and send them insured.
